au_bigbang - the Alternative Universe Big Bang Challenge - your one-stop shop for your favorite characters in an Alternate Universe. While the Alternate Universe Big Bang kick-off won't be starting until January 5th (mark your calendars!), but we thought we'd start the introductions. The Alternate Universe Big Bang Challenge is a three month long challenge over which authors will write at least 15K and Artists/Vidders/Mixers create Art/Vid/Mixes to go with. We're open to all fandoms, crossovers of up to three fandoms are welcome, and we're including fusions in our definition of alternate universe. Fanfics need to be betaed, and a beta pool sign-up post will go up to help connect betas volunteering for this challenge with authors seeking betas. We will also be putting up a post for cheerleaders to sign-up to help support the challenge's participants.

Tuesday, March 2, 2010 - 2nd author check in; artist sign-ups close

Thursday, April 1, 2010 - Artist selection post goes up
Tuesday, April 6, 2010 - Rough draft due date
Tuesday, April 27, 2010 - Posting date selection begins
Tuesday, May 4, 2010 - Final drafts and art due; Posting begins
